Inger Sjølie Flood was educated at Statens Kunst- og Håndverksskole,

Statens Kunstakademi in Oslo and Kunstakademiet in Copenhagen.

Professor Jean Heiberg had a special influence on her artistic career.

Respect for composition and picture construction,

in addition to a close interest in French paintings, have been the base in her professional development.

Inger Sjølie Flood has presented her works in many separate exhibitions and has participated in collective exhibitions in Norway and abroad.

She has represented Norway internationally, among others at Nordic exhibition at Iceland and the Sao Paulo Biennale.
